Dr. Annette Bruhn

Dr. Bruhn works as a senior researcher in applied phycology at Department of Ecoscience, Aarhus University. She works in the cross-field of macroalgae ecophysiology and biological oceanography, with focus on the sustainable production of macroalgae, and in particular the interactions between the macroalgae, the marine environmental and climate.

Her group leads and participates in several national and international science-industrial macroalgae projects. Annette represents the blue biomass in Center for Circular Bioeconomy, Aarhus University. Also, she is one of the co-founders of the Nordic Seaweed Conference and AlgaeCenter Denmark, the mission of which is to strengthen science-industrial cooperation towards sustainable and innovative macroalgae production and applications.
